sugar

molasses

egg

flour

soda

cloves

ginger

cinnamon
Melt shortening, leave cool. Mix shortening, sugar, molasses and egg together. Sift twice all dry ingredients.
Mix with wet ingredients. Add dry ingredients a little at a time. Let chill for 1 hour. Drop by medium size
cookie dropper. Roll in sugar. Bake 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
