Angel Food Cake Susie

40 min 350 degrees Angel Food Cake Pan
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar sifted
1 cup cake flour sifted
1 1/2 cups egg whites 11 or 12
1 1/2 tsp cream of tarter
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt

Sift together powdered sugar and flour, sift twice more. In mixer bowl with wire whip beat egg whites, cream of tartar, vanilla and salt at medium speed until soft peaks form. Gradually add remaining sugar 2 Tbls at a time, beat until stiff peaks. Fold in flour mixture and gently put into ungreased Angel Food Cake pan. Bake on lowest rack at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Invert pan and allow to cool completely.
