household ammonia
water color paint
Use a small 2 cup bowl and add small stones. Mix together salt, bluing, water and ammonia until salt
dissolves. Pour into bowl with stones. Drip desired colors on top of the stones but do not mix, use water
colored paint or colored ink dyes used for eggs or clothing. Let the stones sit for several days and watch
colored crystals grow from the stones.
