Shepard s Pie

45 minutes 350 degrees 9 x11
1 1/2 lbs ground beef lean
5 lbs potatoes cooked and mashed
1 can corn
6 - 8 slices American cheese white
Brown Gravy

Brown the hamburger, drain off any fat, then add gravy. Boil and mash the potatoes and put 1/2 in a 9x11 casserole pan. Then spread out a can of drained corn. Put the meat and gravy mixture on top, then a layer of cheese slices on top the meat and finish final layer with rest of the potatoes. On top, take softened butter and with fork put lines around the whole top - sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Make sure the top is slightly brown. Take it out and let it sit for about 5 minutes to firm up
