Moist & Creamy Coconut Cake

30 - 35 minutes Pre-heat oven to 350 13 x 9 pan
1 package yellow cake mix (pudding included)
1 1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups coconut
1 8 oz whipped topping

Prepare cake as directed on package. Pour into grease & floured 13 x 9 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 - 35 minutes until firm to touch. COOL 15 minutes. Poke holes down through cake with meat fork. Meanwhile combine milk, sugar, & 1/2 cup coconut in pan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat & simmer 1 minute. Carefully spoon over cake, allowing liquid to soak down through holes. Cool completely. Fold 1/2 cup coconut into whipped cream and spread over cake. Sprinkle remaining coconut. Chill overnight. Store leftover cake in refrigerator
