shortening

buttermilk
Sift first 6 ingredients, cut in shortening until mix is crumbly. Dissolve soda in buttermilk, add to dry
ingredients. Beat until well mixed. Grease and flour 2 9 inch cake pans. Bake 30 - 35 minutes, turn out and
cool. Frost as desired.
