Savory Spaghetti Sauce

1 hour Sauce Pan
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 large onion chopped
2 15 ounce cans tomato sauce
1 clove garlic minced
1 bay leaf
1 tsp basil dried
3/4 tsp oregano dried
2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper

In a skillet cook ground beef and onion until meat is brown and onion is tender, drain. Add the next 8 ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf and serve over spaghetti.
