Chocolate Oat Squares

Grease Jelly Roll pan
Oat Mixture:
Cream together butter and sugar, beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine oats, flour, salt, and baking soda, add to
creamed mixture.
Press 2/3 of oat mixture into bottom of jelly roll pan.
Chocolate Sauce
In a saucepan, combine milk, chocolate chips, butter and salt. Stir over low heat until chocolate is melted.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and walnuts.
Spread chocolate sauce over oat mixture and top with remaining oat mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until oat topping is golden brown.
Cool before cutting.
