Chocolate Oat Squares

25 minutes 350 degrees 15x10x1 Jelly Roll Makes 4 dozen bars
Oats
1 cup butter softened
2 cups brown sugar packed
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3 cups oatmeal quick cooking
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
Chocolate
1 can sweetened condensed milk 14 oz
2 cups chocolate chips 12 oz semi-sweet
2 Tbl butter
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup walnuts chopped

Grease Jelly Roll pan Oat Mixture: Cream together butter and sugar, beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine oats, flour, salt, and baking soda, add to creamed mixture. Press 2/3 of oat mixture into bottom of jelly roll pan. Chocolate Sauce In a saucepan, combine milk, chocolate chips, butter and salt. Stir over low heat until chocolate is melted. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and walnuts. Spread chocolate sauce over oat mixture and top with remaining oat mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until oat topping is golden brown. Cool before cutting.
