Peach Coconut Pie

8 - inch pie plate
1 baked pie shell
1 cup sugar
3 cups peaches fresh, sliced
3 Tbl cornstarch
2 Tbl butter
1 Tbl lemon juice
1 dash salt
1/2 carton whipped topping
coconut

Bake pie shell. Combine sugar, peaches, butter, salt & cornstarch. Cook over very low heat, as juice from peaches will thicken. Cook until peaches look transparent and are soft. Add lemon juice. Pour into baked pie shell, when cool cover top of pie with whipped cream and sprinkle with coconut.
