Lemon Butter Cod

1 filet Cod thawed
1 small onion chopped
1 clove garlic chopped
3 Tbl lemon juice
1 stick butter
salt & pepper to taste

Melt 2 Tbl butter in a sauté pan, add onions and sauté until soft, add garlic and sauté until onions have caramelized. Deglaze pan with lemon juice. Remove pan from heat and mount the remaining butter to thicken the sauce. Season to taste. Baste and broil cod 5 to 8 minutes per side, serve on bed of sauce.
