Pecan Crunch

25 minutes Pre-heat oven to 350 jelly roll pan
2 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar light, firmly packed
1 cup butter or margarinemelted
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 6 oz chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups Pecans chopped

Into large bowl, measure first 5 ingredients. With mixer mix ingredients until blended and mixture holds together. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pat dough evenly into jelly roll pan. Bake 25 minutes until golden brown. Meanwhile in a heavy small saucepan over low heat, met chocolate chips, stirring frequently. Set aside. When crust is done, remove from oven, pour melted chocolate chips over entire surface. Spread evenly, sprinkle with chopped pecans. Cut into 72 pieces (6 x 12 strips). Store or freeze
