Upside Down Cake

25-30 min Preheat oven to 350 8 X 8 or 9 inch round
2 Tbl butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup Pineapple or peaches drained
4 Tbl nuts chopped
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup water
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

Melt brown sugar and butter in heavy pan until smooth, add fruit and chopped nuts. In bowl mix eggs and sugar, beat until foamy. Add dry ingredients alternating with water, add vanilla. Pour over fruit, nuts & brown sugar that has been place in the bottom of a cake pan. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes, until brown.
