Strawberry Pie

1 baked pie shell
1- 1 1/2 quarts strawberries fresh
1 cup water
1 dash salt
2 Tbl corn syrup
1 cup sugar
3 1/2 Tbl cornstarch
4 Tbl Jell-O Strawberry
2 drop red food coloring
whipped topping

Clean and hull strawberries. May slice or leave whole. Put in the bottom of baked pie crust and pour glaze over the top. (You can mix glaze with strawberries and pour into crust) Glaze: Cook water, salt, syrup, sugar and cornstarch until slightly thickened. Stir in food coloring and Jell-O. Cool until jiggly inch. Add berries or pour over berries. Refrigerate until firm. Serve with whipped cream.
