Contributor: Carmen Hyde
12 ounces Lye Granules
4 cups milk frozen-slushy
48 ounces Crisco melted
32 ounces coconut oil Lou Ana - melted
16 ounces olive oil
vinegar for safety
300 drops Essential Oil
In a stainless steel pot used only for soap, add the lye granules to the frozen milk, freezing the milk keeps it
from scorching. Mix well. Add oils, and blend with stick blender until it is the consistency of pudding. Add
essential oils and blend until combined.
Line molds with thick plastic. Pour soap into molds, tapping to allow bubbles to exit. Cover with plastic and
mold top. Allow to cure for 24 hours before cutting. Cure at least 2 weeks before using.
