Black Bean Soup

10 slices bacon finely chopped
2 med onions chopped
6 cloves garlic pressed
15 oz chicken broth
1.5 cups tomatoes canned
2 Tbl ketchup
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbl chili powder
62 oz black beans
salt & pepper
cilantro
lime juice
scallions
sour cream
cheddar cheese grated
Render bacon in a large soup pot, about 4 minutes. Add onion and saute until translucent, add garlic and
saute until fragrent. Add broth tomatoes, ketchup worcestershire and chili powder. Stir in beans and bring to
boil, simmer 10 minutes season with salt and pepper. Stir in fresh cilantro, cook until thick about 5 more
minutes. Stir in lime juice and serve.
