Roasted Salted Pecans

1 hour Pre-heat oven to 300
1 egg white beaten
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp water
1 tsp milk
4 cups pecan halves

Mix stiffly beaten egg whites with one quart (4 cups) pecan halves. Cover nuts well. Spread on foil lined cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 1hour. Stir every 15 minutes. The first 15 minutes you will notice that the pecans have a tendency to stick to the foil. Gently lift them off and stir, from then on they will be dry enough not to have to lift them off again. Store in tight jars.
